Why we're starting a blog, what we'll write about, and how to follow along.

We talk to builders, buyers, and the people who run the back office of housing every week. Most of what we learn never makes it past an internal Slack thread. This blog is where we'll put the parts worth sharing.
What you'll find here
A few rough buckets, in no particular order:
- Product notes. When we ship something we think changes how Solum is used, we'll write up the why, not just the what. The changelog keeps the full log of every release; posts here are for the changes worth a longer read.
- Engineering deep dives. The interesting problems behind the product. Search relevance, federated faceting, how we model communities and developments, how we keep the public catalog honest as builders update their data. The work, not the press release.
- Field notes. What we hear from builders, buyers, and sales offices about what's actually broken in new-construction discovery, and how we're thinking about fixing it.
What you won't find here
Roadmap promises with hard dates, growth-hack threads, or AI-generated filler. If a post goes up, a real person wrote it because they thought it would be useful to read.
